Description
Resorcinol is a white crystalline phenolic compound, commonly used as a chemical intermediate in rubber reinforcement (tires), wood adhesives, hair dyes, and skin medications for acne and eczema. It acts as a keratolytic agent to treat skin conditions but can cause allergic reactions, thyroid dysfunction, and CNS effects in high doses.
